Week 36--cRaZy cLoSiNg wEeK

Monday, Aug. 31st

Morning Walk!

One week old...TJ's cannot be beat!

Colombo helped his parents again this week, their closing day of Friday quickly approaching.  Lots of sorting, purging, packing, trips to storage, and burning.

Tuesday, Sept. 1st
Renna and I hit up TJMaxx after Moes.  I needed to get some specific clothing options for the dress code in Jordan.

 Treasures form the basement.

Me and Kate.  Friends since 1980, the night before our August wedding.

Wednesday, Sept. 2nd
Pictures from Renna, who is not supposed to have her phone visible in school.

Thursday, Sept 3rd
FINALLY!   My gosh.  People behind desks finally picked up the file and signed the thing.  Wowweee!!!  After DAILY / HOURLY check-ins and an all-star lineup of brokers, the deal was done!  I changed clothes and was elbow deep an hour later.  If anyone in the Hartford area needs a realtor, Christy is your girl!
In keeping with DiSalvatore tradition, we did Chinese at the new house.  Only one of my crew was available, so it made for a very sweet dinner!
Colombo, Jon, and the girls were off on a road trip to Pittsburgh for a hockey

Friday, Sept. 4th
After a mega push and all hands on deck and many late hours, Colombo and Karen closed on 1742.  They pushed their bodies and the deadline to the breaking point, but they got it done!

So our attention was 100% swiveled to rehabbing the 2nd floor unit at Ridge and getting that rented.  I had 11 days before I left, so after Kelly picked up Baby Bo, it was off to the races!
Rocco ripped up some carpet and began the pain-staking task of pulling staples.
Trev loves this spot for naps.
A beautiful evening, beautiful sunset, beautiful Night of Worship.  So well-attended and 80ish people got baptized!
Check-ins from Pittsburgh.

Saturday, Sept. 5th
My home away from home, with a paintbrush in my hand.
Fan and Tina captured it best!

Sunday, Sept. 6th

We had our family Fantasy football draft.  Lisa hosted most of the gang at the Lake for the afternoon and got some snuggle time with Bo.  How sweet is this?!?!  Gifted bonus time for her and now her great nephew knows his very bestest Great Auntie.  Forever the GOAT.
I worked at Ridge up until draft time and then went home to make meals for treatment week while drafting.

Week 32--VBS

This week was VBS!  It was a bit different than usual.  I took pictures as I normally do, but din't have my better-photographer-sidekicks, Lisa and Meg, to help out.  Also, in years past, I've loaded the car with my crew to all serve together and this year- just me and Renna (who was amazing in every way as a leader!!).  And in order to have Harlem participate, it meant having him ALL week long, including overnights.  But all-in-all, a huge success for hundreds of kiddos.  Photo gallery can be found here.

It was also a difficult mom-ing week and a difficult auntie-ing week.  I'm treading waters I never knew I would and feel ENTIRELY ill-equipped for.  The longer I parent, the more I realize I have no idea what I'm doing!  Somehow, we just keep clinging to God's promises, putting one foot in front of the other, and showing up that best way we know how.

Jesus
I was tossed in the water
But I never went under
You were always on time
Jesus
When I went through the fire
You were right there besidе me
You were always on timе

Monday, Aug. 3rd

I had to take a picture with Miss Kandie's niece to send to her!

Rocco and Trevor together on The Island for camp.  I'm so thankful this worked out.

Tuesday, Aug. 4th
It made my day when Baby Bo and his mom surprised us at VBS!
Nathanael had his annual convention with Hale, this year in Salt Lake City.  This was a BIG travel year for them!

Baby Bo is learning all about food and all about Taco Tuesday!

Wednesday, Aug. 5th

Oh boy.  His behavior won him some one-on-one time with Lemvo; honestly a GREAT win for him!
More from Nathanael....

Thursday, Aug. 6th
A couple from a year ago when Ezra was the guest at VBS.

His very first shift at Shady.  Brave boy!

I never did get a picture of Renna and me together.

Very briefly, a smattering of the fam gathered at the Lake to squeeze in a visit that Lainie sweetly requested before she ventured back to school.

This is so out-of-bounds!

To Be Continued....
I'll pick back up with Saturday for our week on the Cape.
