Flashback to a great day on a great trip. Only the best memories from my favorite family vacation five years ago. So thankful we did it!Renna's all about her baseball cap these days.
Got a kick out of the woman in the minivan I parked next to. I feel ya, sister! Sometimes you just need to steal a quick little nap, even if it's the BJ's parking lot!

Bunches and bunches of kids! Maddy had four; I had mine plus three.
Rocco and Trevor slept over at the Shively's. Michelle sent this pic. What could possibly go wrong??
Nathanael spent the day with Pastor Sterling preparing for the movie night at church. Kendra made the 'twins' take a picture.

Scrolling through Instagram, I had a very weird experience. I saw my friend's very regular, very normal, very routine morning post with her precious kiddos and my heart just stopped! It took me back 17 years. In an instance I was right back to the beginning with my first two! You can read my comment to her below the photo.
Feeling all nostalgic and wanting her to see the my kids' similarities to hers, I sent her a couple pictures. Her Liam makes all the faces C4 used to and her Grace has crazy hair like Maddy did. Those sure were sweet times.Nursing home day. This mom is the sweetest with the 4 most perfectly behaved children.
"Renna, show me your best hose pose."- Love her!
I wanted to take the dogs for a walk. I wanted to be alone, to think and pray. I wanted quiet. But Renna wanted to come. Maybe in a different year (or even on a different day!) I would've been upset that she ruined my selfish plan. Or maybe I would've told her no. But these days and years just slip through my fingers like sand and I know soon enough I'll have too much peace and quiet and yearn for a walk with a chattering 6 year old who delights in everything around her and currently is so insightful, wonder-filled, and hilarious!! I'm glad I said yes.
Off to the nail salon with Mama and Kelly.

Maddy, Renna, and I went up to see "The Keys", Brent's newest show. He debuted it here in the States just an hour away to begin his fall tour. Maddy was able to go up for two of the days for setup and stayed after for tear down.
We spent the afternoon by the pool and ended the weekend with Daddy's dinner.
