One benefit to being six weeks behind on the blog is reliving summer!!!
To the Cape!
We arrived with just enough time to settle in and for me to hit the grocery store to stock food and make a simple meal for our first dinner on the back deck. Excitement and anticipation were high! We love this spot so much and it holds so many amazing family memories. It's extra special that it's a gift from our besties and they share in our joy all week long.
We were missing the Rambarose's and Nathanael & Tina, but the different dynamic and smaller group was special. We couldn't wait for Baby Bo to arrive!
Trying out his new big boy seat!
Rocco led us in a game of trying to guess the famous person on your face asking only yes or no answers. It was fun except for the randomness and obscurity of some of the cards. Like, one person would have Taylor Swift and another would have Nick Nolte.
Sunday, Aug. 9th
I took a drive to see the ocean and saw the early morning quahog crew.
We had very chill days- a slow pace, with no agenda. Just a low-key (by design) vacation. We played lots of games, went to the pool every day, played tennis, lounged in the hammock, sat on the back deck, went biking, took the early shift with Bo some mornings, and I walked many, many miles.
This day, Colombo went to Cape Cod Church while the rest of us watched Crossroads online.
After dinner we walked down to the Point.
Then Baby Bo's first time at Smitty's!
Monday, Aug. 10thColombo and I hit the beach for the day. The kids chose to kick around the house, pool club, and tennis courts. Our beach day at Old Silver was just perfection! We brought home pizza and wings for dinner.
Tuesday, Aug. 11th

C and Kell went on a date night, leaving the Baby with us.
Thursday, August. 13th
I went and grabbed Cape Cod Bagels for breakfast and came home to this sweet face.
We spent the morning packing up and cleaning and getting out of there. We needed to be home that night so Rocco could work his shift and to reset for our next adventure the next day.
