I took the kids (+ Izaya) out to Dad's to celebrate Father's Day with him. The plan was to do hot dogs and s'mores around the campfire. We were cut short by a severe thunderstorm that blew through, but we still had a lovely evening.
The best Dad I ever had :) He was the best growing up, so fun and loving. I still rely on him today. He is a constant encouragement and so supportive, a rock in my life.
We had Juliet for an overnighter. [Happy Dance] She and Maddy took some pictures of a sick and tired Renna.
It was a Dr. day; way more medical 'stuff' than we are used to. First was Rocco's 4 year well visit, which included a finger prick and 4 shots. The finger prick and bandaid ticked him off, but he was very brave about the shots.
With lollipops in hand we headed to the hospital to pick up a CD of xrays...
...so that later in the afternoon we could go to an ortho specialist to look at Madison's thumb. She had hurt it 3 weeks prior sliding down a bounce house of all things. We were referred to a specialist because of a slight hairline fracture (questionable) or possible ligament strain. Regardless, it's healing fine. She is just supposed to wear a brace for the next couple weeks just so it can remain immobilized and heal.
Renna was too sick to put into the nursery, so I kept her and Rocco home from church and we walked down to the park.

Trevor loved the way I combed his hair after swimming.
After a wonderful afternoon by the pool, Colombo and I attended a 'Marriage and Money' workshop at church. Twelve hundred families attend Crossroads and we were one of six couples at this free workshop. Sad, I tell you! It was well done and full of good reminders.
We came home to this sweet scene.
