You know you're a mom when...

I was at the grocery store the other day with all the kids just trying to get out of there as quickly as possible. As I was loading my loot onto the belt, the lady behind me said, "Is your milk leaking?"

The blood immediately drained from my face and I started to grab for my chest in total embarrasment. It was then that I realized she was referring to the gallon of milk on the bottom of my cart!

After relief set in, I answered, "No. My milk's not leaking." Oh what fun things us women deal with!

International Fair

Our homeschool support group put on an international fair. The kids worked hours on our display. They filled out passports as they toured all of the countries presented. Can you guess which country our family studied?

Not pictured is Trevor who also wore a shirt. We all had a # on the back, starting with Daddy wearing #1 and Trevor with #6 on his.

Trip to Colorado

Trevor and I had a great visit with Tim, Beth and Alaina. Even though Trevor was sick for a couple days, he and Lainie managed to check each other out and play together a little. She could not be any cuter! We laid low for most of the weekend except for a drive in the mountains and sercive at the church where Tim is now associate pastor. The kids here missed Trevor, but not me so much. Hmmm?

Happy Resurrection Day!

Hope you all had a Happy Easter. He is Risen! Because He lives, I can face tomorrow. I know my Redeemer lives!

Happy Birthday, Maddy!

Madison enjoyed a special day for her 6th birthday. It started with her and I doing a quick breakfast together. Then, because it fell on Good Friday this year, everyone was off from work and school. So, she planned a very special tea party. She had four friends over. They brought dolls and they wore pretty party dresses. They had drinks and snacks on my china...very girly, just like Maddy. My mom had sewn each girl an outfit for their dolls to take home as the perfect party gift. Later we had pizza in the van just before the kids had to be at church for the final performance in the Passion Play. Finally we capped off the night with a quick stop into Dairy Queen. Not a bad day!!! I just can't believe my little Princess is 6! Where does the time go?!

9 Months Old Already

My little Trev-Trev is growing way too quickly. He's already 9 months and he celebrated by cutting four new teeth across the top last week. He's just as sweet as can be. He's content and happy and is now doing the army crawl thing all over the house.

Passion Play

This has been a busy week for our church. Every year we do a major Easter production with anywhere from 6-8 performances throughout the week. This year, C4 and Madison as well as Bethany, Juliet and Allison were in the crowd (thanks to Gramma for making the costumes!) on some nights and angels on others. The kids have a blast doing it, but more importantly, hundreds of souls come to know Jesus through the play. To God be the glory!

Kids Say the Funniest Things

I wish I could record all of the humor that floats around our house on a daily basis. All of the kids have such great senses of humor and keep us laughing. Nathanael in paticular these days is very funny even without trying...which is probably why it's so funny. Hopefully he won't need therapy in twenty years because of being laughed at so much.

A few good ones lately...C4 was reading the sentence, "My cat likes it when I scratch her behind the ears." He accidentally read it, "My cat likes it when I scratch her behind and ears." We all got a pretty good laugh.

Madison was telling Ninny that she was going to be in the Passion Play. She's going on and on about all that happens "And," she said, "They even crucify Jesus!" I guess to her the play was all about getting your hair done to be an angel.

One of the funniest was when we were having our ongoing conversation about another kid. I, of course, was for it. Colombo said no. Madison wants a sister, etc. etc. This is how it goes. Well C4's comment was, "Dad, why don't you want to have another baby? Then you get a week off of work!"
