Monday, Nov. 13th
Colombo and I scooted up together to see little one-day-old Ezra.

Renna finished off the "birthday" oreos that Auntie Lisa had packed in Renna's personalized "Auntie" basket pre-baby, hand-written note included.

Tuesday, Nov. 14th
First fire of the season.
Wednesday, Nov. 15th
Harley was sportin' two little corn rows.
Thursday, Nov. 16th
I went out to dinner with a few friends.
And the kids all went up (on their own) to meet their niece.
Friday, Nov. 17th
Trevor was invited to a QuinceaƱera- his first- the sister of one of his good buds. It was much anticipated and talked about for weeks. Despite Trevor's past requests of "don't be weird, Mom", I was completely weird when he came downstairs looking oh-so-handsome!
The only reason he was somewhat kind and patient with me (aside from perhaps a shred of him enjoying the oodles of affirmation) was because Jack was also in the kitchen, there to pick him up. I asked Jack if his Mom took pictures before he left. Yes. Did you give your mom a hard time? No.
As they walked out, I requested of both of them that they send some pictures throughout the night. I got exactly ONE from Jack AT THE GAS STATION!
And when I texted Trevor mid-evening requesting some pix, I got exactly ONE from him.
Back at home, Rocco paced the neighborhood to study TBQ. It's his norm, but now seems a bit odd when it's dark at 5:00.
Little Sister was also studying.
I finished setting the table for the next day.
Sleepover at David's for his birthday.
Saturday, Nov. 18th
We celebrated our "Bourquin Thanksgiving"- my side. For the last 19 years, we've done the Saturday before Thanksgiving. This was a smaller year- no Pop & Kiki, no Gramma & Bobbi, no Rambarose's. So we changed up the menu in an effort to ease the work load, while simultaneously pleasing a bunch of teenagers. We decided to do a hot and heavy appetizer buffet with traditional desserts. It was an extra special treat to see so many of my favorite people on my birthday. More pictures to come, but Lisa sent a sneak peek.
Sadly, the "cousins" picture was snapped while Juliet was squirreled away in her bedroom, and the error was not caught until it was too late :( These kids have NO IDEA what a gift they have in each other, growing up as family and friends.
The Bourquins stopped through at Maddy and Mason's on their way home.
As we've done the last 4-5 years, Jules hosted our NOT-Amy's-birthday-party party.
Sunday, Nov. 19th
Colombo, Nathanael, and I were all set to go to first service and then grabbed some bagels and lattes for a visit with Maddy. At the very end of service, I remembered I needed to stay for the finance office. So I brushed off my disappointment and sent the boys on their way.
Little E made the big screen at church, where they excitedly announced her arrival. Maddy was able to watch online.
Lisa and the girls made a visit later in the afternoon.
