Week 41--Ezra, the Selfie Queen

Monday, Oct. 6th    

My Dad had stopped by the day before with treasures from his latest road trip.  It's so sweet that they think of us and grab little this-es and that's when they're on the road.  I sent him a picture.  It's from the John Deere flagship store, "You had me at tractor."

Project mode.  The vision part is easy for me, especially with plenty of inspo from Pinterest.  It's the execution that trips me up.  I had spent way too much time watching videos but couldn't find exactly what I was looking for, so I came up with a combined design in my head.  After sanding and staining everything the day before, I elected my husband to help get my plan out of my head.  My plan and his skill were enough to bang it out in about an hour.  Final results to be revealed at Kelly's baby shower.

Tuesday, Oct. 7th

Our fall Tuesdays usually include a soccer game, an hour at Moe's, and then Colombo and Renna leaving for hockey.  Thankfully soccer is only about eight weeks.  Someone from the town took these photos.

Clearly this night, Ezra had my phone for a bit.

We went to Maddy and Mason's after Moe's to move a dresser and a few random things to C and Kell's.  It's soooooo amazing seeing my adult children interact- in their homes- swapping baby gear.  Surreal.

Ezra was content to play with Uncle Rock.

Wednesday, Oct. 8th

The dresser found its new spot at C and Kell's.  Things are getting real!

We had a good chat with the oncologist!  Lisa's most recent scans were 'stable', her CEA lower, and the decision was made to continue her extended break from chemo.  We will reassess in January.  Happy faces everywhere and all glory to God as Amy Joy dubbed it, "miraculous stability"!  There is no scientific reason for such a report, but God is on the move!

Thursday, Oct. 9th

Renna helped me briefly with some centerpieces for the shower.

Maddy invited me to watch Ezra's little dance class.  She's a full year+ younger than any other kid and a little slow to warm up.  BUT HOW CUTE!!!!

Friday, Oct. 10th

Fridays with Ezra!  Sticking with the theme this week.......

Twinning!

She loves the new doll stroller I bought her (inspired by Miss Kendrie).

The holiday weekend had us split and in different states.  Rocco joined the Cours in the Hershey and Philly areas for some teen fun and time with Manda.

Colombo, Renna, and I drove up to the Boston(ish) area for a hockey tournament.  I started down a pretty trail waiting for the game to start, but quickly aborted since it was secluded and I didn't know the area.

Saturday, Oct. 11th

Early morning game.  I walked a safer area past some beautiful homes while waiting for the game.

We (ranked #45) battled and tied the #3 U14 team in the nation.  We came from behind and Renna had the assist on the tying goal.  The place erupted and it felt like a victory!

Then we left Renna with Jon and Sienna and scooted home for Mason's brother's wedding.  Austin and Priscilla had the sweetest day.  Oh!  ...and the sweetest flower girl who is a pro now!

Mason read scripture.  This was our first bilingual wedding, where everything was translated from English to Spanish except the bride's father's toast which was Spanish to English.  All their details and choices, songs and food, were very personalized.

Sunday, Oct. 12th

Early morning back up for the 4th and final game, where I watched from the warm lobby.  After a long, trafficky ride home, we chilled and watched football.

Week 40--Twenty One Pilots

Monday, Sept. 29th

Surprise!  Maddy and Ezra stopped by to watch Renna's game.

After I dropped Harlem off,  I could tell in my mirror that it was a spectacular sunset.

Tuesday, Sept. 30th

This day had been circled on the calendar for months.  The highly-anticipated, much talked about, only their album playing for weeks, Twenty One Pilots concert!  We all met up in the parking lot to tailgate.  I don't fully understand it and certainly don't know the lyrics to every song, but I didn't want to miss out and was happy to feed everyone.  The kids were JACKED!

Nick and Milo met us there.

Trevor drove down with two friends from school.  In and out just for the evening.  So great to see him, beaming with excitement.

Amanda came home from school, as well.

I thought all concert-goers would be doing the same thing, but nope.  Just a few here and there with much less happening.

Because we were on an aisle, Josh and Tyler passed by us several times.

The show was beyond amazing.  I have so much respects for artists who are clearly gifted and leave their guts on the stage for their fans.  It was an over-the-top spectacle that just entertained for hours.

Maddy and Mason hosted a family Zoom to discuss some of the inner circle details about what they are embarking on.  It gave everyone a chance to ask questions and be a part of what they're doing.

Friday, Oct. 3rd

Renna skipped practice so we could go watch Sienna play and Renna could scout both teams.

Saturday, Oct. 4th

Sent from Maddy.  (Also the perfect picture of the exquisite fall weather we had this year!  Shorts in October!)

We kicked off our TBQ '25-'26 season- our district's league meet #1.  All hands on deck made for a smooth day.

Then Maddy met me at Rocco's game to pass off the Bean for overnight at Maymee and Bobo's.

Ezra loves taking pictures so I ended up with lots that looked like this:

I watched way too many videos on how to DIY a free-standing pallet wall.

Sunday, Oct. 5th

Good morning!!!!

Ezra and I were back to another game for Rocco at a different rink.

Back at home we played outside until nap time, and then Maddy and Mason returned and most of us gathered for Daddy's Dinner.
