Week 12--Ninny's 70th

Monday, Mar. 20th

SPRING!  It was a beautiful day, so the kids and I hung outside all afternoon.

Yard cleanup- had to text a picture to Pop.

Came home to see him doing his afternoon workout.

UConn hosted the first two rounds of the tournament, so I got a handful of tickets and collected an eclectic group to join me.

We had good seats, but I kept my eye on some open seats down low through the first half.  As soon as the second half started, I took my two nieces down to the fifth row across from the UConn bench.  They were thrilled!  What a game; what a win!  Such a fun night making memories.

Tuesday, Mar. 21st- No picture.

Wednesday, Mar. 22nd
At my least favorite place with my most favorite person.  Round number 16...hoping for a break soon.

Then rehearsal.

Thursday, Mar. 23rd
Homeschool hair, don't care.

This kid...he's officially licensed!  The testing officer said he did a great job and he got no deductions.  He was hoping they'd retake his picture, but he's stuck with long hair and braces for the next four years.
We met C4 and Kelly at Chick and then they came back to the house for the UConn game.
...and some mini-hoop.

Friday, Mar. 24th
No picture.  I spent the bulk of the day in the kitchen making all of the food for Sunday.

Saturday, Mar. 25th
It was a long full day at rehearsal, and then we spent a couple hours at Jon and Annie's setting up for the next day.

Came home to a rowdy game of mini-hoop before the UConn game.

Sunday, Mar. 26th

We all gathered to honor our precious Ninny on her actual big day!  **70**

All the "checkered" people.

The 2012's.

Everyone contributed a page to a very special birthday book that Nicky put together.

It was SUCH a special day- everyone togeher- reveling in God's grace and goodness; His protection, providence, and favor.  A brilliant team effort to pull it off.  A perfect balance of planned agenda and an organic afternoon/evening. Ninny said through the evening at least 3 times, "This is the BEST 70th birthday I've ever had!"  My page from her book:
