Father's Day 2012
This is always such a special day. Usually a beautiful, summer day celebrating the most important men in my life.
Our day started with a big waffle feast. Madison had her camera in hand for the day and got some great shots of everybody.
After breakfast we packed up everyone and headed to the driving range.
Daddy was a very patient teacher giving us each a lesson.
Then we headed back home for some relaxation around the pool. I hate to admit it, but I took a nap. I felt incredibly guilty, but after 2 nights of 4 hours of interrupted sleep I was done. I tried to talk myself out of it, sure that it was sacrilegious for me to take a nap on Father's Day, but Colombo (who got to sleep in til 9:30) urged me to so that Mommy would be happy for the rest of the day.
Ninny and Papa stopped by for hugs and cards. After they left we headed into the house and played games.
We had a delicious steak dinner, opened presents, and hit D.Q. for dessert.
Then on Monday night, we headed out to my Dad's to celebrate him with dinner and a camp fire. I am so blessed to have a wonderful father who has always been exactly what I need. He still makes me feel special and loved.
We discovered another use for Pop's multi-purpose hill.
Aiden was excited to show Rocco his new truck.
