This was Madison's 8th Spring Showcase. She was amazing!!! What a talented girl. She was in 13 numbers this year, two of which she was a leader for preschool dancers. Lisa attended the 1st of 2 performances, so lucky for me, I have tons of great pictures.
A BIG step this year was for her to be in the opening number. A rite of passage. She was the littlest and the youngest, but had no trouble keeping up with the kick line.

Her lyrical solo, "Amazing Grace." She won 1st place in her division at every competition.

Ballet, which is her least favorite class, but she has to take it for competition.
"Come Fly with Me," jazz. She hurt her shoulder (again) doing a trick in the matinee. She danced the rest of the show plus the whole evening show in pain, but you would have never known.

"One Touch", a group lyrical was an extra number that Miss Kandie put together in about 5 weeks. Madison LOVED this dance because it was meant to be a witness to the crowd. Hopefully seeds were planted. It was
Nicole C. Mullen's song. The girls all wore a word on their back, like envy, lonely, addiction, etc. Madison wore "Lost" and then at the end they took their black hoodies off to reveal their white tshirts. It was VERY moving. To tears every time. I hadn't seen it until dress rehearsal and I was a puddle. Totally amazing. So proud of Madison and her desire to honor God with her gift of dance.
Pop and Kiki came, too, but snuck out early. Thanks to Ahzane, Brianna, Anna, Mrs. Essick, Auntie Bethany, Juliet, Allison, Auntie Lisa, Izaya, and Avery for coming to support. And of course, Daddy and ALL her brothers and sister.
