WOW! What a weak week of pictures...so strange.
Monday, Apr. 17th
I took a ride and got some needed 'alone' time. Spent the day doing some work online and searching for our summer family vacation spot. After exhaustively working to match many calendars, we know when we are going...now I'm just trying to narrow down ideas and nailing down details. WAY more "last minute" than I like!

Wednesday, Apr. 19th
"PET scan looks beautiful!" So we are sticking with the plan of a 2-month break! Praise be!
A little PTS dinner party to celebrate the end of tax season and reward the hard-working staff. Nathanael was stretched beyond belief being a full-time student, working more than he agreed to, while still maintaining a relationship and his church responsibilities.
Thursday, Apr. 20th
LOTS of hockey happening here. Everyone is watching and talking about the playoffs and C4 put together a family bracket. C4 and Kelly were actually AT this game in NJ...we never spotted them, even though they were only about 10 rows back.
Friday, Apr. 21st
The kids convinced me to do a Six Flags day, so we squeezed 5 days of school into 4 (with a little leftover for Saturday) and went. I knew the two of them would buddy-up for all the rides, so instead of standing around by myself, I brought my buddy! He was great company and loved being outside, people-watching for the day. At the very end, we took him on a ride he could do. He's hooked!
He's taking lots of steps and the dogs continue to ruin everything.
We tried a new-to-us Mexican dinner spot while the boys were at youth group.
Saturday, Apr. 22nd
A beautiful Celebration of Life service for a dear woman. We first met Pauline through her son, Brian. Brian and Christine joined our small group 20 years ago and our families have been friends since, with kids the same ages. Pauline attended Crossroads as well and was always so encouraging to us. It's been difficult to see the Cards walk through this loss, but what a beautiful service honoring an amazing woman. She loved her family lavishly, and they all knew it! The stories two of her grandsons shared were so inspiring to me as the kind of grandma I hope to be. Hundreds of people came because of the profound impact she had on all of them. Taken too young by cancer, but her legacy will continue.
Andrea covered soccer for us. Her sister was there and got some great pictures. The girls are playing up a year so many of their opponents are a head taller and quite developed. 2-0 win!

Sleepover!
I went to visit a friend who is going through a battle. It was a jarring experience, but I was glad to get the time.
Sunday, Apr.23rd
A first! Colombo ran his first HALF MARATHON! It was Jonathan's second. A group of about 12 acquaintances committed back in December to run it. The pouring rain was not helpful, but they did it!
Soccer was canceled due to the rain, so Andrea and I decided to combine efforts and throw a celebratory dinner for any runners that may care to pop over. Turned out to be only three families, but we had fun. I threw together lasagnas, salads, and bread.

Now that the cement is poured, their new pool is functioning so the kids jumped between the cold pool and hot tub. Their backyard is going to be quite the oasis and party spot.
