Week 14

This was a pretty weak week of pictures, which is indicative of an intense rehearsal schedule and way too many things to do during the day to keep up!  All things Passion as we closed in on opening night.  I dealt with a considerable amount of drama this year, all symptomatic of a broken world and hurting people within it.  I know this, but sometimes I lose that perspective and only want to slap people. Sigh.  But that's the reason for the lack of pictures.

Monday, Apr. 1st
I didn't have a picture from the day.  I spent a considerable amount of time upset at a handful of short people that decided to prank each other, all of it ending in tears.  Every time.  And a mess to clean up.  But I got a kick out of this post:
Tuesday, Apr. 2nd
A fun day trip for Maddy.

Tuesday, Apr. 3rd
This is Maddy's roommate, Sage.  I love this picture of her.
Yay for warm days and fun spots to hang.
Flashback:
Wednesday, Apr. 4th
Living their best life!  The kids dragged up an old t.v. with a built-in DVD and VHS combo.  It was very fancy back in its day.  The kids carried it up the stairs and dug up some old VeggieTale tapes from the corner of the basement.  Binging on Veggies!
 Thursday, Mar. 4th
Another beautiful piece from Maddy.  Hard to believe this happens in just one hour.

Friday, Apr. 5th
I'll spare you the only picture from the day.  I took Rocco to the doctor for a nasty sore near his mouth.  Tests came back as MRSA.  The same thing happened in November.  Hopefully we're done with that.

Saturday, Apr. 6th
Happy 18th to my now-adult daughter!  I'll post Maddy's birthday separately.
Sunday, Apr. 7th
A long day of rehearsal.  So thankful for a dedicated cast and crew.  I snuck this picture of the hard-working backstage crew as they listened in on the devotion.

Week 13

Monday, Mar. 25th
Renna was working on her Autumn Miller move.  I sent it to Maddy.  She and Autumn thought it was the cutest!
Tuesday, Mar. 26th
First round of the season.
Maddy asked me for a picture from her first year of dance.
Wednesday, Mar. 27th
Yay for warmer, sunny afternoons.  Rocco set up his target practice.
Renna got her back tuck on the trampoline.
Thursday, Mar. 28th
Excuse the bragging, but this will NEVER happen again.  That's me.  At the top of the board (men and women).  Please note #3 who I beat.
Renna joined Andrea at Sienna's school talent show.  No surprise, but Renna somehow ended up on stage for the finale.
 Friday, Mar. 29th
Unbelievable!  Her growth is so evident here.
An old high-school teammate posted this on Facebook.
 Friday Tidy...well done, Renna.
Saturday, Mar. 30th
Rehearsal in the morning.  We had the cast in costumes so we could finalize lighting.
Renna also had her third competition.  Her dances were in the afternoon, so there was no conflict.

Duet got "Perfect Pair" special award and her solo got "Terrific Technique" and won first place.  After, my friend Kerry invited the class over for pizza.  The girls had a great time and so did the moms.
The Launch did a trampoline shoot.  Such amazing pictures and video came from it.
Sunday, Mar. 31st
"Presidents" has been the go-to game of late.

Week 12

Tuesday, Mar. 19th
I had to meet some people at church and do some 'stuff', so I told the boys they had to come with me and they had to pack laser guns and the had to play in the dark sanctuary until I was done.  Best interrupted morning of school ever.
Just a small group for rehearsal this night.
Wednesday, Mar. 20th
We got Grace for the day!

Tradition: 1st Day of Spring *free* Rita's after we picked Nathanael up from school.  It was sunny and 57 and felt glorious!
Renna and I walked to the park.  We got to this section of the sidewalk and I kid you not, Renna says, "Look!  It's like Rhode Island."  I could not believe it!  An hour later, walking back, as we approached the same section she said, "Here comes Rhode Island!"

First Day of Spring free cones at DQ!
With new Roman Guards and a new Jesus this year, we figured it would be prudent to have a rehearsal for the sole purpose of training on the "how-to" of getting Jesus up.   We called in two of the best alumni guards and they graciously came for the evening, opened with a quick devotional, and walked everyone through it, ending in prayer.

Thursday, Mar. 21st
Someone got a hold of my phone.

Renna and I went to Nathanael's Sophomore Ring Ceremony.  It was a special, lovely, thoughtful evening.  Such a nice tradition.

Look whose picture we found hanging down by the gymnasium.
Friday, Mar. 22nd
I helped plan and execute Nathanael's hockey banquet.  We enjoyed a lovely evening and sat at a table with parents we've been with since Mites.

Saturday, Mar. 23rd
After morning rehearsal, Renna and Rocco went to Drew and Alayna's birthday party.
Colombo and Trevor left for Trevor's Passport to Purity weekend down in Newark, NJ.
Sunday, Mar. 24th
Before rehearsal, Renna and I took the dogs the dog park.  That girl was in heaven.  What could be better than 40 dogs and a captive audience?  She has never met a stranger.  I admire the way she chats with everyone she comes across regardless of age or appearance.  They are simply new friends to her.
My poor unsolialized homeschool girl.  It takes her a whole 5 minutes to make a new friend!
I loved watching all the little girls as they sat in awe of Ashlee.
The boys took in Trevor's main event- tobyMac concert!
