Uptown Funk

I had all intentions of posting the video of the dance the kids did for Brandon and Olivia's wedding.  My father-in-law had taken a video, but due to circumstances that we need not delve into (aka spousal blunder, major fight...use your imagination), the video was lost. Anyway, I was quite devastated. Obviously, time passing has eased the blow.  It also helped to learn that the photographer got some good shots of the kiddos doing their thing.  Marriage intact and love restored :)  Here are few from day:

11th Annual LobsterFest

Labor Day weekend means LobsterFest!  I'm so thankful that we have this on the calendar and our family makes it a priority.  It's a special tradition.
Pictures from me, Elizabeth, and Lisa.

We hosted on Saturday and I have no idea what Renna was belly-aching about here.  I'm sure it had something to do with her not getting her own way.  Also, the weather was gorgeous all weekend.

So happy to have Lisa there so soon after treatment.  She laid low and even stole a nap when needed.

I'll also remember that this night was C4's *big* maiden voyage; his first major car ride driving solo.  Someone needed to drive half an hour to go pick up Tony's Pizza.  No other adult was raising their hand, so away he went.  I spent the next hour and 15 minutes pretending to act like I wasn't freaking out on the inside.  I called Tony's once to be sure he had picked up because I didn't want to call his phone while he was driving!
All the girls were invited to spend the night.  To say they thought they were 'cool' going night swimming would be an understatement.

Sunday morning, watching Home.
So You Think You Can Dance? dance off.
Lisa hosted on Sunday.  It was a solid team effort and others chipped in enough that Lisa only had to do as much as she wanted.

Jonathan and Andrea generously lent their bouncehouse.  A fair trade, though.  They were at our house having a pool party with their family.

Lenny, a roadside treasure, snatched from the clutches of the garbagemen (who would throw something like this out??)  has been a part of our festivities for about 8 or so years.

These two stuck pretty close all day.  Oh, and they were HOT stuff with their own soda + screw cap.

Right about now I feel like a country theme song should be playing.
