Nathanael likes to get up early and get a start on school. Lately, since Renna was born, he's often the first one downstairs between 7:00 and 7:30, in underwear, socks, and wrapped up in a blanket with one of his workbooks on the couch.
As others begin to rise, they trickle in and seem to congregate in my bedroom and while Daddy takes a shower, the "party on Mommy's bed" commences. It's informal, nothing preplanned, and it doesn't happen every morning, but it's fun when it does. Inevitably Rocco wants to watch Mickey Mouse on my laptop. C4 never makes it. He's never up before 9:00. Nathanael finds his way back upstairs to join us, and to brag about how much school he's already done with.
Yesterday when he came in, he said "Mom, I'm already done with math. I learned about angels, lines, and points."
"Oh, do you mean angles, lines, and points?"
(big grin) "Ooohhhhh, yeah. Angles." [pause] "But in math?? Why in math??"
Apparently it just didn't involve enough complex computation for my little mathematician. Wait for geometry, kid. Just wait!
Speaking of angels. Check out this little one. She is 7 weeks now. Sweet as can be with her gummy grins and cooing. (C4's working on his steady-hand-with-a-video-camera skills.)
