Angels

Nathanael likes to get up early and get a start on school.  Lately, since Renna was born, he's often the first one downstairs between 7:00 and 7:30, in underwear, socks, and wrapped up in a blanket with one of his workbooks on the couch.

As others begin to rise, they trickle in and seem to congregate in my bedroom and while Daddy takes a shower, the "party on Mommy's bed" commences.  It's informal, nothing preplanned, and it doesn't happen every morning, but it's fun when it does.  Inevitably Rocco wants to watch Mickey Mouse on my laptop.  C4 never makes it.  He's never up before 9:00.  Nathanael finds his way back upstairs to join us, and to brag about how much school he's already done with.

Yesterday when he came in, he said "Mom, I'm already done with math.  I learned about angels, lines, and points."

"Oh, do you mean angles, lines, and points?"

(big grin) "Ooohhhhh, yeah.  Angles."  [pause]  "But in math??  Why in math??"

Apparently it just didn't involve enough complex computation for my little mathematician.  Wait for geometry, kid.  Just wait!

Speaking of angels.  Check out this little one.  She is 7 weeks now.  Sweet as can be with her gummy grins and cooing.  (C4's working on his steady-hand-with-a-video-camera skills.)

Week 15

Monday, April 9th
The black continues to change color as it improves.
Tuesday, April 10th
We toured the Garde Arts Theater in preparation to bring "Lost In Vegas" there in September.  It's a gorgeous 100 year old 1400 seat theater.  About 10 of us went down to take a look.  It was surreal to think of performing on that stage.
Renna went, too.  She is 5 weeks old!
Wednesday, April 11th
I only had a video from this day.  I had just brought her in from the car and she was all happy and smiles.  Quick!  Grab the camera!  Then....
Thursday, April 12th
LOVE this!
Gabby and Gigi are back in town!!!  WhooHoo!  Andrea brought the girls over to play for most of the day.
Maddy did her thing.
Renna had her first bottle with Daddy.  I didn't want to miss the window to introduce her to option B in the event that I may want to be away from the girl for more than 2 hours.
Friday, April 13th
After a kid swap, I met Lisa at the park to swap kids back.

Saturday, April 14th
The whole family spent most of the day outside working on the yard.

Easter Celebration 2012

HE IS RISEN!
This Easter was both traditional as well as 'different.'  For the first time in five years, I did not assistant produce The Passion of the King and I missed it terribly.  However, my reason for not helping with the show this year was our sweet little Baby Renna.  A very good and fulfilling reason to take the year off.

The Passion was still a part of our Easter, though.  Madison, Nathanael, and Trevor were all in the show, so I was still around the cast and the excitement, but I was also afforded the time to be Renna's mom and bond with her in those early weeks.

Lisa photographed the show.  These are not only her photos, but I stole them right from her post!

Madison did her part for probably the last time.  She's getting too old.
Nathanael played the part of Young King David.

We went to church on Saturday night.

Sunday we went to Lisa's for brunch and an egg hunt.

The '06-ers.
A beautiful Easter season celebrating our Risen Savior.
