Monday, May 8th
The "extreme home makeover: outdoor edition" across the street has been pretty epic to watch. Also, a HUGE distraction to our school day!

Tuesday, May 9th
Liam came to play. He's one of the cutest kids ever; the son of one of our Crossfit coaches. Sometimes when his Gramma and Grandpa are away, we're lucky enough to get him!
Wednesday, May 10th
Cleaning out the beds with my helpers.
Trevor set up Crossfit stations- deadlifts, planks, sit-ups, push-ups, and box jumps.
Thursday, May 11th
Nathanael and I carved out time for a lunch date- something I should be doing more of with him.
More digging.
May is hula-hoop month at dance.
Straight from dance to the field, but we only made it to one inning.
We dropped the kids and ran to C4's *very last* high school concert. All the lasts make me very sad.
We have it down to a science. The concert band plays last, so we arrive around 8:30p, well, C4 has to be there early and sit through it all. These are his feelings of band concerts in a picture:
They recognized all the graduating seniors.
Friday, May 12th
Shopping for Prom. C4 decided to buy a suit instead of rent a tux. The styles have changed so much and almost anything goes. Gone are the days of tails, cumber buns, and patten leather rental shoes. He made a good choice. He'll get much more wear out of the suit and is already ahead of the game since he has two proms.
After several stores and trying several things on, he found 'the one'. Hilarious! He really, really, really liked it. He just had to double check that Kelly was ok with a navy suit since one of her dresses is navy.
Maddy helped. Y'all...several hours at the mall / stores is cRaZy!! How does anybody find that fun??!! I was flippin' exhausted and slightly nauseous by the end!
We then met up with Justin, Kelly, and Amy to get Justin all squared away.
Saturday, May 13th

Ninny stopped by on their way out of town for a little Mother's Day love.
My little Rockstar's turning into a bit of a bookworm.
Colombo took Renna to a sweet little friend's princess birthday party. A real-life Tiana was there. She sang and face painted.
Maddy and I (and Taelyn) were in the nursery.
Dawn had been bugging my for a visit for awhile, so we shot down there after church for a couple hours. I took my annual pic with Max. We were laughing about the light looking like a party hat.
Sunday, May 14th
A very special Mother's Day. The kids wanted me to stay in bed long enough to serve me breakfast in bed, so I enjoyed listening to a sermon, blogging and a little bit of solitude. That alone was a gift.
Praying over breakfast, each kid took a turn praying a blessing over me. It was very touching and humbling. Renna's went a little something like this: Thank you, Lawd, for dis great mudder and dis Happy Mudder's Day. Bless her fo' to be happy and healfey.

It was a slow, close-to-home, hanging out kinda day that revolved around a lot of food. Perfect! For lunch, they worked together to make an appetizer spread.
Then we took a little Sunday drive up to UConn. We hit the Dairy Bar for ice cream and then went to the UConn bookstore to get me my official UConn Mom hoodie!

The rest of us played a game of flag football. Trevor was shocked by my skills!
We lingered around the dinner table and laughed and laughed and laughed. There's no shortage of funny, interesting, head-shaking, and "huh??" things that come out of those little mouths. Lots of laughter, and I'm grateful for that. Also, Renna declared that she is NEVER leaving me. Never. So that made my night. So incredibly grateful for this crew that call me Mom!!!
