Biggest girl can now sit up in her chair!

Rocco decided to try tennis for the spring. He's beyond pumped about it. This was his first try-out, even though the team didn't make cuts. Here's what I know so far since some people have asked:
He's never played tennis before aside from fooling around on the courts at the Cape. He thinks he falls somewhere in the middle of the pack, and is hopeful to get some playing time. He's extremely athletic and should pick it up quickly. His coach is also the defensive coach for the varsity hockey team, so he and Rocco are already familiar. Practices are right in town and right after school- praise be! The seniors are SO KIND and helpful and accommodating to the underclassmen. I'm proud of him for trying something new and I think he's just the sweetest tennis player I've ever seen!

I had dress rehearsal for Passion.

Tuesday, Mar. 19th
With little over 24 hours notice, we pulled together Maddy and Renna's combined birthday family dinner. Once I realized I had the night off from Passion, I threw a text out to the fam. The stars aligned and everyone was available. The girls talked through different ideas, but in the end, decided on Moe's takeout at the house. At this point everyone is more interested in being together than a fancy meal.
Then all the guys took off for the first night of men's league.......hockey never ends! Rocco was invited to try it and everyone had fun!
Wednesday, Mar. 20th
I had dress rehearsal.
Sadly I missed the tobyMac concert. Back in November, I had coordinated a group of 40+ (family and friends) and then realized how early Easter / Passion would be, so I had to bow out, but everyone else had an amazing time!
Thursday, Mar. 21st
Lil Miss EzMae had her first plane ride! Weeks ago, Brent reached out to Maddy to see if she could dance in a few performances of The Passion and the Cross in Sioux Falls, SD. He had another girl lined up, but she wasn't able to do all the shows. So Maddy was back on stage, Ezra got to go on a plane, and Mason got a peek into Maddy's Sioux Falls chapter and meet some friends from there.
Final dress rehearsal for me. It went really well and I was feeling really confident for opening night.
Friday, Mar. 22nd
Renna's team kicked off their State Tournament and- bless the name of the Lord- our last weekend of hockey!!
I had performance #1 of
The Passion. It was a solid show- a great opening night and amazing response. It was an interesting and stressful twist that a medical emergency within the audience forced us to actually pause for 15 minutes and empty the auditorium, but all-in-all, I think all teams handled it as best as possible and we persevered. And the woman was ok in the end!
Saturday, Mar. 23rd
The tennis team held a pancake breakfast fundraiser and raffle.
Then we scooted down to Renna's first game of the day.
I left Colombo and Renna down there (an hour away) because the team was going to hang and do lunch between games. I scooted back up to town for performance #2. My heart was so touched each night to see our Bishop's daughter / current lead pastor's sister diligently, humbly, and quietly wiping off each chair before the performance. Such a menial task, but she was not above owning it.
Then back down to Renna's second game of the day. They tied, but this was the end of the season.
Another Passion performance for Maddy out in Sioux Falls.
Sunday, Mar. 24th
We went to first service and then Colombo took me to breakfast while the kids stayed to serve. Later, performance #3.
My team is the best!!!
After, we all convened at the house for pizza and UConn game.
