Week 21

Monday, May 16th
A gem from about 14 years ago.  C4 and Jared at Spring Pond.
Tuesday, May 17th
Mrs. "Esslick" had Baby Landon, too.

Sienna spent the afternoon with us.
A SLEW of kids (siblings of players) at Rocco's baseball game.  Amazing how well a group of 4-6 year olds- strangers- can get along and create a game.

Wednesday, May 18th
Big day!!!!  Thank God for qualified supervisors and... pool shock!
Tooth #2.  He pulled it himself.
Thursday, May 19th
Party at Lisa's!  And for good reason!  Bethany was in the area; up from Texas.  We all gathered to visit with her for the evening.

It's not often we get a picture of the four of us!
Friday, May 20th
Saturday, May 21st
Andrea and I drove up to Portland, Maine together for Ashley's (in white) bridal shower.  These are most of the 'cousins'.

I got home, changed into some fancier shoes, and headed to a beautiful backyard wedding reception. Bill and Kathy are in our small group.

Sunday, May 22nd
So happy for our dear friends, graduating their youngest from Trinity College.  We didn't attend, but love the family picture she texted me.
Gramma and Bobbi came up for C4's last spring league hockey game.  They came over after for an impromptu cookout and whiffle ball game.
Wow!!!  That post was actually almost a picture-a-day, or at least about as close as I've ever come!

Week 20

This was a mixed bag week: outside fun, got the garden in, a revolving door of children, a considerable amount of time painting at the apartment, a considerable amount of time being sick, and Colombo traveling out of state!

Monday, May 9th
Sunshine + puppy = FUN

Pop and Kiki came up to Rocco's game, which meant I got a break from pushing!

Rocco got the game ball!

Tuesday, May 10th
Lisa called to tell me her kids had an unexpected school closing.  We seized the opportunity and met up for a picnic at a state park halfway between us that I hadn't been to in 20 years.

Wednesday, May 11th
We had swapped kids the day before and we got Amanda!  Also, Abigail came over for the day.  They all got along perfectly.  It's good to change it up once in a while!

I guess Lisa's crew had fun, too!
Thursday, May 12th
Another swap.  We got Avery for a night.  Lisa reported the kids at her house slept in.  Was not the case at my house!
After a swap back, just before dance, Rocco pulled his first tooth by himself.
I was painting at the apartment right up until C4's spring concert, so that's where we got dressed.  Renna happened to be wearing a dress Maddy wore at that age, so I sat her on the same steps Maddy sat on at her age for a picture.
That's C4 on the big bass drum.  I know I'm partial, but I thought his part in the march they played was key.  He disagreed.

Then he switched to some cymbal thing for the second piece, and again, I thought his part was important, though he swears it was not. (top and center to the left of the bass drum- he's the continuous cymbal that swells throughout the clip)

Also on display was his digital photography piece. (the billiard table)
Friday, May 13th
More work at the apartment leading up to a busy night at church.  We decided to do Chinese on the floor, just like we did on the night we closed on the house 12 1/2 years ago.
Saturday, May 14th
Picture day at soccer.

He played keeper for the second half and had five goals scored on him (never having played before and never having even practiced what to do), sending him into a post-game funk.

Colombo and I were able to get a date night after church / nursery, too!

Sunday, May 15th
We had delayed celebrating Mother's Day with my mom because she wanted to do a hike outside and the weather the week before was rain.  Though 59 and cloudy was not ideal, we muscled through and celebrated anyway, knowing if we put in off any longer, it may not even happen!

Some of the crew went to a special service at church in the evening.
